The competition is limited to 32 teams.

Prize money shall be $400 for the winning team and $200 for the runner-up team. The Match Committee shall determine prize money if the event is not fully subscribed.

Entry fee shall be $24 per four, payable with entry.

Green fee shall be $5 for each player for each night and shall be retained by the Host Club.

 

Entries shall close on 10 February and games shall be played on Wednesday nights, commencing ten to eighteen days later, for three consecutive Wednesday nights.  The Match Committee shall advise all entrants when and at which club they shall play.

 

Bowls Australia laws and RVBA rules shall apply subject to the following:

All games shall commence at 7.30 p.m. sharp.

The 32 teams shall play three 8-end games of sectional play on the first night. The eight section winners from the first night shall play a further three 8-end games of sectional play on the second night.

The two section winners from the second night shall play a 21-end game in the final.

There shall be no dead ends (to ensure that 24 ends can be completed by 11.15 p.m.) – refer Bowls Australia law 31B.

 

All players of each team must have played in the current season of SDELBA pennant.

Each team must contain at least two players who have not played in RVBA Division 2 or above in the current season.

The normal rules for substitution shall apply and in particular, after a player has commenced a game in any team, that player is not eligible to enter a game elsewhere.

Illegible or incomplete score cards may be disqualified. 

 

Delegates of the Host Clubs shall be totally responsible for conducting the game, providing an Umpire and providing supper (tea/coffee, biscuits, etc.)

Team captains shall be responsible to certify that all eligibility requirements are satisfied, and must hand in score cards signed in readable writing to the Host Club delegates at the conclusion of each game.
